Flo started working with children in 1987, originally a childminder whilst her own children were small. She progressed through the Preschool Playgoup Association from local playgroup committee through Branch and onto County level. She became a paid field worker and tutor. Whilst organising a fun day she started face painting and one thing lead to another. The fieldworker job had to go to concentrate on starting her own business in 1993. She bought a bouncy castle business from a friend, Glenam Leisure, and used it to launch her face painting career. It was later that year she met a clown and they started working together, Fluorescent Flo was born. She was a founder member and past chairman of FACE The Face Painting Association. After joining Clowns International in 1997, Flo met lots of other clowns and things have gone from strength to strength. Through CI she has had the pleasure of performing in Holland, Denmark and the Azores. Flo is a past treasurer and Committee member of CI.
